Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the direct sequel to the cult-classic medieval RPG from Warhorse Studios. The game continues the story of Jiří and offers an even larger open world, an improved combat system, and significantly more freedom in completing quests.

The series’ defining feature remains unchanged—maximum realism. There is no magic, no dragons, and no supernatural abilities. Success depends on the hero’s skills, which must be developed through practice: fencing, archery, persuasion, or crafting.

Compared to the first game, combat has become smoother and more intuitive, and quests offer even more ways to solve them. Many tasks can be completed through force, cunning, diplomacy, or by finding a completely unconventional approach.

The game world deserves special attention. Large cities, castles, forests, and villages feel alive thanks to NPCs who have their own daily routines and react to the player’s actions. This is one of the few RPGs where you can truly feel the atmosphere of the real Middle Ages.

What players will love:

  • a vast open world without unnecessary markers;
  • nonlinear quests and consequences of decisions;
  • a realistic combat system;
  • a compelling storyline;
  • the historical atmosphere of the 15th century;
  • improved graphics and animations.

Verdict

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II successfully builds on the ideas of the original and offers one of the most in-depth RPGs of recent years. If you like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, or Red Dead Redemption 2, this game definitely deserves a spot on your to-play list.
